Tea of the month

Quite often my patients ask me to make them a tea – just to enjoy as part of their daily rituals – which is suitable for this particular time of the year, and of course, for their disposition.
So, now we really are slipping into the darker chilly months, and our bodies are craving that extra warmth, support for cold achy muscles and joints, and immune support.
Here are my current favourites:

Elderberries
— lovely red juicy berries with powerful anti-viral and immune boosting properties.

Ginger
— warming, comforting, soothing to achy joints and anti viral.

Liquorice
— nourishing the adrenals, supports the liver, and anti-viral.

Siberian ginseng
— was used by the elderly in Russia to keep them strong and healthy over their brutal winters.

Rosehips
— these are more amazing than you can imagine. Packed with vitamin C, they support our collagen, and are thus great for arthritis over the winter; and a great immune tonic.
