I think we all know that there is an alcohol problem in our society. The Parliament News (23 May 2023) reports an 89% rise in alcohol related deaths over the last 20 years, with a sharp rise in 2019. People often use drinking as a way of managing pressures of life, because just for a few hours, there is some respite, but of course, liver injury is just one of the consequences.
The good news is, the liver is an organ which can regenerate, as long as the insult (alcohol) is completely stopped. There are many professional herbs which help to repair the liver, recover the immune system, detoxify the cells, and restore energy. Other herbs help to give the mind peace and space, so that a better strategy can be explored as a life skill. Severe liver injury has to be treated with great caution, but for milder liver damage, with care, we have an array of healing foods and culinary and medical herbs to support the regeneration of that organ.
